I am Number Four: Book VS. Movie
I recently saw the movie I am Number Four, and I have already read the book. They were pretty similar, but there were still some differences. First of all, John doesn’t have fire restistence in the movie? WTF? They should atleast keep the same legacies!!! And Henry doesn’t die during the big battle scene, he dies from a long sword through the window of a car. Really? It would have been more emotional if he died during the battle. Number 6 now has fire resistence, again, keep the same legacies. Also Number 6 should be able to make the storm like she did in the book. The battle scene was way more epic in the book than the movie. And John doesn’t open the box in the movie, which is cool in the book because he gets to train. You also don’t find out a lot in the movie about Lorien, which you learn a lot in the book, like that there was a second ship that left, which could be important in the second book that will be released this fall. I did like how it didn’t have a super long beginning basically about John being picked on by Mark, that was a plus for the movie. Number 6 looked like a bad ass chick in the movie, which was actually pretty cool. And in the movie Sam’s dad knows a lot about John’s home planet, and about the 9, that is a really cool twist. All and all they both had there good and bad moments, so I will let you be the judge, which was better, I am Number Four movie or book?
